Casta Diva concerts

Opera South Africa will grace the Vissi d’ Arte Theatre at Casta Diva on the 29 August 2010 with a program that promises to be exiting, they will be hosting a visitor from Jamaica (Based in London) Abigail Kelly (www.abigailkellysoprano.com) who will be visiting them through a cultural exchange programme between Opera South Africa and the High Commission of Jamaica, she will share the stage with our local young artists, Goitsemang Lehobye (Soprano), Nonhlanhla Yende (Mezzo Soprano), Thabiso Masemene (Tenor) and Sipho Mlombile (Baritone), a selection of famous arias, duets, trios and quartets will be selected by our Artistic Director Sidwell Mhlongo and the will be accompanied by our pianist Hilde Gordon, Abigail will also perform from a selection of Jamaican Folk songs composed by a Jamaican composer Mr  Peter Ashbourne. Excerpts from Porgy and Bess, L’Elisir d’amore, Don Pasquale, La Boheme, Gianni Schicchi, Un ballo in maschera, Die Entführung aus dem Serail will live you wanting for more.

Toss performance at Casta Diva’s Vissi d’Arte
